During a massive bike rally organised by the Youth Trinamool Congress in Serampore of Hooghly district on Sunday, MP Kalyan Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the BJP and the Central Government. Addressing party workers and supporters, the Trinamool leader expressed strong confidence about the party’s prospects in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Kalyan Banerjee predicted that the Trinamool Congress would return to power with a decisive mandate. He claimed that the party would secure more than 250 seats in the Assembly, describing it as a clear indication of public support for the current state government. Targeting the BJP, Banerjee alleged that the opposition party would struggle to make an impact in the state. According to him, the BJP would be limited to fewer than 30 seats in the Assembly elections, as voters would back the Trinamool Congress in large numbers.
He also credited Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s development initiatives for the party’s confidence ahead of the polls. Banerjee said the government’s work across sectors had strengthened public trust, which he believes will be reflected in the election results.
